New year, new me? well a fresh start for this blog anyways :D

In Wardrobe Update on January 7, 2011 at 5:34 pm

Lose ends: The clothes diary…yeah …cool idea, in fact quite a brilliant idea, but also a massive failure as I only managed to keep it going for approx 4 months…and not doing another one this year so….

Project Battlefairy – a project very much on hold, and not sure I will revive it for the time being…

The past, the right now bit and the future !

The past: This blogg has been very much about me, and me trying out various styles at work. It was also ment to be a showcase for some of my own designwork but has failed badly in that regard.

The right now bit:Right now I am not really working very much with my own designs, but my new years resolution is to learn how to make corsets, so I will keep you posted as to the progress.

I am also more into customizing garnments than making ones from scratch and have done some small needlework on some clothes that I will post as soon as I can.

The future: Yeah ! The future ! 2011 ! wohooo :D

This is were I will blog more about the kind of clothes I buy, and different cool shops I’ve come to know about in the past year. So this will be more of a style blog I think…yeah um..hum…something close to one at least, and I will also showcase the stuff I customize myself.

Heres a special addition to my wardrobeAfter my grandfather died I got all his clothes and accessories.

A selection of grandfathers old stuff :)

I am very honoured to be able to take care of his things so they didnt have to be given away to charity shops or thrown away :)

The boots have become my new winter boots and I am able to incorporate alot of his shirts and other accessories into my day to day wear :)

December 2009 Additions!

Hat from Zara – Just looove that shop! I think this hat cost me 129,- NOKs which isn’t bad at all :) Just love it love it love it :)

The feater is a capercaillie feather I got from my dad :)
The netting scarf is from H&M and cost me 10,- NOKs :) Winter sale :D
Will be great for summer and adds a dash of colour to a winter outfit :)
The shoes…aaaaah the shoes…well my old black 10 pound office shoes from Tesco died…and my parents very kindly bought me this pair…which I initially was abit baffled over because I have only been wearing black office shoes for the past 8 years..
Buuuuut they grew on me and now the only drawback is that they keep my feet too warm! So for that reason alone I will only be wearing them for very cold winter days.
They are from BM footwear.
The pullover (Jack and Jones) is a gift from my brother and his wife :) Thank you guys :) It is abit big but might shrink in the wash :)

PICS :)

Heres finally some pics of some of the stuff I got from Scotland in the last haul :)

One of my most treasured items, the pimp stick I got from Andreas for my 27th birthday :) :) :)

I was afraid I wouldnt get it with me back from Scotland with Ryanair, and me being my air headed self, of course didn’t call Ryanair and check they’re policy with regards to walking sticks, and canes…so I faked a limp ;)

It was quite convincing too as the guy in the security check in asked me if I was ok walking without it :) Maybe they also thought that someone had decorated it because they felt sorry for me :D

Then when I got to the airport in Norway I forgot …..the stick at the tax free….and had to walk back through security to get it…and was told it had gone to lost and found..so I ran there..and was told they hadn’t gotten it….then just as I told them it HAd TO BE THERE and if they could look again, a woman from the tax free shop came up to the lost and found desk carrying my pimp stick like it was a scepter and told me it had gone through customs and thats why it had taken some time to get to lost and found. I guess they suspected it was filled with real diamonds or something :D

It makes for quite a funny story, but enough jabber, here it is !

A "Chav/Ned" hoodie from primark, the pimp stick, one of the battle fairy masks (the orackel mask) an old Veromoda jacket "Katie" - I filled in the colours on the floral pattern

Got my stuff!

Now my wardrobe is ALMOST in one place!

I went to Scotland with my mate Silje and hauled almost 60 kg’s back to Norway the last week end of November :)

The sad part is that I really had to turn bad ass on myself and sort through everything during a 3 hour repacking process…it left me several kiloes lighter but also saw many basic items chucked out….amongst them a pair of white sneakers I used for a “Neds and Kilts” party once £3 from Primark – used maybe 3 times and now rehomed to Risto :)

Elin who has been the guardian of my stash the 3 months I was away got a jumper and a pair of big “tartan” patterned trousers so at least some of the stuff was saved from the bin :)

I did have to chuck all my old shoes….see..I have a thing for old worn out shoes….I redesign them and turn them into something funky. Like painting them golden or adding studs. This makes them great accessories for halloween parties and the like, and livens up a costume. Also saves me from throwing them away and giving me room to experiment :)

Pictures of some treasured pieces brought back from Scotland will follow shortly (Juuuust need to scour the house in search of the cable for the digital cam…last seen…under the bed?)
