Sounds like an american company, so I was quite surprised that they are in fact Norwegian!

Basically they make cool and affordable clothing, designed by them but sewn up – made to measure in asia.

(I bought my corsetvest from Manillusion, but I think next time I will order one directly from Dracula Clothing and send them my measurments, as the one I have is slightly short for me, one metal bone chafes abit)

Other than that I think it’s my best buy of 2010 Totally cool and does make you feel like a vampire, maybe not Dracula, but definitely  like you could belong to the vampire coven in Underworld – Rise of the Lycans

Los-Angeles (Thanx for correcting me there Lise ) based company offering a wide variety of goth/punk/fetish clothes for the alternative comunity and anyone else interrested

They prodused my fantastic red pvs trousers, my black lace shirt and my sovjet styled faux fur and pvc coat

I buy my lippy stuff from Manillusion because I am too lazy to order online and because I like to be able to walk in to a shop and try stuff on before making the final choice to buy it.

But Manillusion doesn’t take in everything from all the ranges and only a few items in each size so I am tempted to place an order from the lippy webshop

Lip-Service does great vests that fit in really well with a corporate goth look

BULK is a norwegian Metal band and they basically KICK ASS!

In other words I think they are extremely cool !

So you can imagine I was happy to be able to be an extra in they’re forthcoming music video!

I think it will be released on MTV in February, so will post a link when it’s out.

Basic everyday wear! Where I like to get them !

ZARA

OK, so maybe Manillusion is my all time favourite boutique – now also soon to be chain of boutiques as they will be opening a second shop in a new part of town in a months time, but ..like most of you I am also on a limited budget when it comes to spending hard cash on new clothes.

So I like to fill out my wardrobe at Zara.

I like the shop for various reasons, it’s not dirt cheap and it’s not very expensive, and not everyone shops there, so I can avoid loking like an H&M poster model or a clone of everyone else.

Which is of course a fair enough look if thats what  you’re after.

I especially like the shirts, they’ve got a good fit, and I recon the quality is good. They also cater for various styles, like selling, bowties and scarves and ties in various colurs, as well as anything from top hats to hatscarves and dress shoes to funky silver plastic shoes (Which I “had” to buy and therefore will post the link )

And what did I buy there ?

2008: Zara in Glasgow, Scotland, Black jacket with burgundy brocade collar

Red shirt, black shirt and white shirt with burgundy pinstripes.

2009 Zara in Karl Johans gate in Oslo: Purple t-shirt with print of some guy in silver and a black hat

2010 Zara, Karl Johans gate, Oslo: 4 black shirts, 1 green shirt, 2 pairs of shoes, one black and one metalic silver,2 bow ties, and a pair of gloves.

The only thing that’s ripped/ruined is the black shirt I bought in 2008 and thats just cos I’ve worn it so much

And the black  jacket I unfortunately went to a party in and someone spilled candle wax on it and now I’ve customized it instead of throwing it away. (maybe pic in some later post!)

And I forgot my gloves on the tube reading a book..:/

Blackwalk for Manillusion

The reason for my Manillusion experience can be boiled down to this – Modelcasting for a fashion show at a rock festival.

So a big thanks to Lisa-Marie for asking me to tag along to the casting, turns out we both were chosen for the Blackwalk and I also met alot of other very cool people there

Basically the link speaks for itself, and I’m not very good at writing shop reviews, but if you’re in Oslo and looking for

something funky and unique this is a good place to start, and if you’re like me, you probably wont end up anywere else

The shop is small and cosy, nestled in a side alley of Bogstadveien and I had some trouble finding it the first time I went there. Luckily they have a sign outside the shop so if you just walk by slowly and look out for the sign, you should be ok.

The shops’s greatest asset is it’s staff ! They are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making this a great shopping experience !

New year, new me? well a fresh start for this blog anyways :D

Lose ends: The clothes diary…yeah …cool idea, in fact quite a brilliant idea, but also a massive failure as I only managed to keep it going for approx 4 months…and not doing another one this year so….

Project Battlefairy – a project very much on hold, and not sure I will revive it for the time being…

The past, the right now bit and the future !

The past: This blogg has been very much about me, and me trying out various styles at work. It was also ment to be a showcase for some of my own designwork but has failed badly in that regard.

The right now bit:Right now I am not really working very much with my own designs, but my new years resolution is to learn how to make corsets, so I will keep you posted as to the progress.

I am also more into customizing garnments than making ones from scratch and have done some small needlework on some clothes that I will post as soon as I can.

The future: Yeah ! The future ! 2011 ! wohooo

This is were I will blog more about the kind of clothes I buy, and different cool shops I’ve come to know about in the past year. So this will be more of a style blog I think…yeah um..hum…something close to one at least, and I will also showcase the stuff I customize myself.
